Diverse Voices in Ecology
Dr. Anurag Agrawal
Dr. Anurag Agrawal is an evolutionary ecologist at Cornell Univ., and he studies interactions between species, especially plants and their herbivores, and takes a “community” perspective to address questions about adaptation, trade-offs, plant defense, and general ecological patterns. He studies many such interactions and is currently exploring three main research topics: 1) what allows for a non-native plant to be a successful invader, 2) novel ways to advance pest management for potatoes, and 3) the community and evolutionary ecology of plant-herbivore relationships.

Dr. Biz Turnell
Dr. Biz Turnell (@BRTurnell) is an evolutionary biologist, most recently at the Technische Universität Dresden, in Germany. Their doctoral and postdoctoral research focused on postcopulatory sexual selection, especially the patterns and mechanisms of sperm allocation, storage, and use. They now work as a science editor for the Springer Nature Group.
