Katherine Soto
Katherine "Kat" Soto is a graduate student at the University of Iliinois at Urbana-Champaign studying ecology, evolution, conservation and behavior of reptiles and amphibians. She spent several years enlisted in the marine corps and she has been developing a conservation action plan for the green salamander since then.

Dr. Sacha Heath
Dr. Sacha Heath (@sachaheath) is an ecologist who studies biodiversity and conservation, often with a focus on birds, and is an advocate for diversity and equity in STEM. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Living Earth Collaborative. Her current topic of research involves analyzing the effectiveness of residential native plant gardens in improving functional bird habitat along an urbanization gradient. ​
