Dr. Zuleyma Tang-MartÃnez
Dr. Zuleyma Tang-MartÃnez is a queer Venezuelan woman who has had a long and successful career in animal behavior. Dr. Tang-MartÃnez, who is now retired, has received numerous honors and awards for her work and spent 35 years as a professor of biology at the University of Missouri-St.Louis. She has long been outspoken on issues of race and gender equality, and filed suit campaigning for marriage equality in 2014.

Dr. Alex Trillo
Dr. Alex Trillo (@Trillo_PA) is a behavioral ecologist at Gettysburg College and she studies the effect of eavesdropping predators and parasites on frogs mating signals. She is a globally known researcher who has done impactful work demonstrating connections between urban life and impacts that it has on ecosystems.
