Welcome to Diverse Voices in Ecology! My name is Lucy Soulliere, and I am a senior Organismal Biology and Ecology Major at Colorado College. With the help of funding from the Colorado College Grants in Writing and advising from Dr. Maybellene Gamboa, I was able to start this project with the goal of raising awareness about the importance and state of diversity, equity, and inclusivity in ecology. 

 

In addition the working database, I am running a year-long project dedicated to amplifying the voices of underrepresented minorities in ecology and conservation. Our mission is to bring visibility to the experiences and research of minorities in ecology, biology, and conservation and to educate our readers about the importance of diversity in these fields. Through interviews with professionals in the industry, we hope to inspire the next generation of scientists and conservationists. Join us on this journey to create a more inclusive and equitable future for all!
